He's off...

So, I have said many times how mobile Caleb is getting and I finally got some video of how he gets around. He is pretty darn fast at crawling now, walks pretty steady with holding onto one hand, and pulls himself up on EVERYTHING. It is pretty cute to watch, but we have had our share of nasty spills that end up with a very loud outburst of crying.....we get back up again, though, and almost always do the same thing again! :) He loves to be "free" and play around the living room though! Enjoy the videos...

Hard Dayz...

So, not only is Caleb teething (getting all four of his top teeth in at once) but he also is learning a new trick....pulling himself up to standing on furniture. Oh, not only furniture, but his crib! This has been very difficult to handle in the last few days because instead of napping and falling asleep, he pulls himself up and can't find his way back down. He will stand at the wall of his crib and just cry and cry. If I go in to gently place him back to his "sleeping position", he looses it and begins to cry even harder. He also sometimes falls and hits his head which makes him continue to cry. This has been an endless cycle the last few days has he is learning how to be more mobile.....a blessing and curse. Only sleeping for 2 hours a day is not good for a 10 month old!!! It makes for some cranky days....for both mom and baby....ugh! Thankfully, Kirk was able to be home this past Sunday (the worst day yet) but unfortunately, it was Mother's Day....boo.

Caleb wanting to get out of bed!

After a SHORT nap (what happened to you hair?!?!)

Look at that hair!!

A Tribute to my Mother...

It is past Mother's Day, I know, but I wasn't able to do this until now and it is something I need to do. I want to say Happy Mother's Day to my mom, first of all, and that I love you very much.

I am so thankful for the relationship I have with my mom. We have always been great friends and have been able to talk about almost anything! I wouldn't trade my mom for anything. She has been there for me through some very hard times and for that I am thankful. I would not be the mother than I am today without her guidance, wisdom, and prayers!

There are so many sacrifices that my mom has made in order to put my dad, my brothers, and me first before herself. She is a Godly women who seeks God's will in her life before her own and continues to love and pray for us through good times and bad. I don't know where we (my brothers and I) would be without her! Thanks for being such a ROCK, Mom!

All that to say, Mom, I LOVE YOU! Thank you for being a wonderful mom and one of my best friends! You are an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother! Happy Mother's Day!

Teething...

Another thing, I thought I would share what I deal with daily as Caleb gets his teeth in........he can be so much fun at one moment and then, in an instant, it can take a turn for the worst :) He sure is cute though....enjoy some snapshots of my daily life. Ahhhh, the joys of kids :)

Too big?

Caleb is now teething (getting all four of his top front teeth in at once) and he is very "clingy" during this time and always wants to be held or walked around or something. By the end of the day, you can see how this could get a little trying for me. So, when Kirk comes home, he is very gracious and often takes over for me (what a great husband and daddy!). This evening, Caleb was very clingy so Kirk decided to try the Baby Bjorn with him and see if he liked it. Needless to say, I don't think Caleb had been in the Bjorn since he was about 4 months old......is he too big for it!?!?! You decide :)

Just a side note, Caleb did think it was pretty cool to be as high as daddy! :)
