Belly Shot #1

Okay so here is my first "belly shot". This is at 14 weeks (almost 2 weeks ago). I hate doing these until I look OBVIOUSLY prego but I figure the kids (as well as me) will want shots along the way. That is what I did with Caleb so I will continue for each of my kids!

I have been feeling much better these past few weeks. Getting more energy back, able to eat much more of a variety of things (not just fruit and yogurt), and enjoying the not-so-hot month of July. We have our next appointment this coming Thursday and we will probably set our ultrasound date (SOOOO excited for that!). Hopefully it will be an uneventful visit and we will get to hear a nice strong heartbeat.

I have also been feeling much more movement in the past few weeks. This baby definitely isn't as active as Caleb was, which sometimes makes me a little nervous, but I am sure things are just fine.

It is exciting being pregnant again, but I do have so say I am not quite ready for the infant stage again. I guess I have about 5 more months at least right?!?! Hopefully I get prepared fast :)

My little boy is TWO!

So, Caleb will be turning two on Friday (July 10) but we celebrated over the 4th of July so we could have more family members there. We had a cookout at my parents house and it was YUMMY! Caleb was blessed with lots of nice gifts....many things he needed and a few things he really likes. It was great to have lots of family there to celebrate but we were missing some :( None the less we had a great time. Here is the party in photos:

I can hardly believe that he is two. Where did all the time go? I can honestly say that being a mother to Caleb has rocked my world in so many ways. It has not only showed me how I need to DAILY surrender to Christ in order to be the best mother I can be but it has taught me many life-long lessons! I have learned how selfish I can be and how I need to lay it at the feet of the cross each day (sometimes many times a day) in order to be who God wants me to be. I have learned (and am still learning) that my kids are not mine but only mine to take care of here on this earth. Ultimately they are God's children and I am blessed to have them while we are here together. What an incredible honor!

It amazes me how much Caleb has taught me! I can say that these past two years have molded me and shaped me into a different person in many ways....GOOD WAYS!

Caleb, may God continue to bless you and keep you as you continue to grow. May you never lose your sense of adventure, joy, and kind heart. Our greatest prayer for you is that you will come to know Christ as your personal Savior at a very young age and follow him faithfully each day of your life....HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! He will be there even when we can't be! We are committed to pray for you daily and raise you up in the ways of the Lord! We love you with everything we are and we are excited to see all that God has in store for your future! Happy 2nd Birthday son! You mean the world to us!
